The mission of KeeleyU is to create an engaging environment that promotes the career growth of every Keeley’n. Every team member is required to participate in at least 40 hours of professional development every year.

The Professor first started at L. Keeley Construction in 2015 as a Senior Project Manager. During his time as a Senior Project Manager, he quickly realized his passion for helping others advance their careers. After a year at L. Keeley, he transitioned to Keeley Companies in 2016 and KeeleyU was born. As the new VP of Learning and Professional Development, John quickly turned KeeleyU into a world-class career development program serving all Keeley’ns.

How does KeeleyU provide resources and opportunities to the 1,800+ Keeley’ns across the country? There are three main programs within KeeleyU that were designed to give our people options so they can take advantage whenever and wherever they are.
Instructor-Led Courses
KeeleyU hosts numerous instructor-led sessions at our state-of-the-art training rooms in our St. Louis and Pacific Headquarters. These sessions are made available to Keeley’ns across the nation through our trusted partner, Geniecast. Geniecast assists our KeeleyU team in bringing the classroom experience right to Keeley’ns devices, no matter where they are. These instructor-led courses consist of outside speakers and leaders within our organization sharing their expert knowledge with all Keeley’ns.
Online LMS Courses
Our online learning management system, LMS, has hundreds of courses for Keeley’ns to view at their own pace and earn education credit. Some videos are designed specifically as LMS content, while other courses available online are recorded videos of instructor-led sessions. This robust system ensures that Keeley’ns, regardless of time and geography, are able to take advantage of the many offerings of KeeleyU. All LMS content is also translated into Spanish!
KeeleyU Roadshows
Roadshows are just that – KeeleyU on the road! We have numerous team members conducting roadshows across the country for our team members in the field. These sessions, led by the Professor, members of the Risk Management Team, Senior Leaders, and other Keeley’ns from various groups, cover topics specific to a particular position, leadership development training, cultural initiatives, and ways to get involved throughout the company.
