2024 Culture Week Recap

Here at Keeley Companies, our world-class culture helps our Keeley’ns thrive and become the best versions of themselves. We would not be where we are today without the culture that our Keeley’ns have created, so every year we dedicate an entire week to celebrating each of our seven cultural pillars while educating our Keeley’ns on how they can get involved and take advantage of the amazing things Keeley has to offer! This year, Culture Week was celebrated February 26 – March 1!

Monday, February 26

To kickoff Culture Week, each Keeley office across the nation was provided a breakfast, lunch, or special treat to celebrate the start off this fun week! We also re-launched our KeeleyOne “Who Do You Know? Campaign!” This campaign is dedicated to growing relationships and having conversations that bring our team members together. It has shown to be an amazing way for Keeley’ns to get to know each other outside of their direct circle! Finally, our Phoenix office hosted a blood drive with Vitalant. Our Phoenix team members showed up to donate blood and helped save 27 lives! We are so grateful for their selflessness in providing a truly life-saving donation.

Tuesday, February 27

On Tuesday, we brought back our fan-favorite BINGO! The Keeley Marketing Team launched virtual BINGO across the nation so every single Keeley’n, from corporate HQ to regional offices and jobsites coast to coast, had the chance to play for some amazing prizes. Five winners could choose from a DeWalt tool set, YETI cooler, Coleman stove, Beats earbuds, and a home projector! Congrats to Austin Waller, Nick Carnevale, Robert Dick, Zachary Limoges, and Chase Carlile for bringing home the prizes and bragging rights!

Wednesday, February 28

Wednesday started off with our weekly Hump Day Happenings communication announcing a scavenger hunt on our internal Keeley’n Hub! Keeley’ns were encouraged to head to the Hub and look for hard hats hidden within the pages. Our Keeley’ns were off to the races and 20 lucky winners got to choose from more amazing prizes including Stanley tumblers, Apple Watches, and AirPods! It was a fun and engaging way to start the day. Later in the afternoon, we hosted a KeeleyU session focused on our i404 Action Planning System. CEO, Rusty Keeley, kicked off the presentation talking about the importance of i404. He then introduced Stacey Kamps, CFO of Keeley Capital, Matt Taylor, Senior Vice President of Paving, and Jim Lee, Executive Vice President for a panel discussion. These three leaders answered questions and spoke about how they use the system, how it helps drive success on their teams, and some tips and tricks on how to make the best of it. It was an incredibly informative session and we are so grateful for our leaders sharing their passion for Achieving Results on Purpose.

Thursday, February 29

On Thursday, our Keeley’ns showed their dedication to #KeeleyCares across the nation. Our Phoenix Keeley’ns participated in a food distribution with St. Mary’s Foodbank, handing out groceries and other necessities to those in need around the community. In Canton, OH, our team members came together to collect items from the Stark County Humane Society’s winter wishlist to help the shelter fulfill their caregiving needs. This was an amazing way to support one of our Wall of Compassion charities in a new community! Our Texas office in New Braunfels spent the week collecting items for the New Braunfels Food Bank. Finally, our St. Louis team hosted students from Dream Builders 4 Equity at our headquarters and CITYPARK to learn more about careers in construction. Click here to read more about this incredible morning with Dream Builders 4 Equity! We are so proud of our Keeley’ns for helping improve the communities in which we serve!

Thursday also brought Rusty’s Semi-Annual CEO Address. While the address took place in our St. Louis headquarters, Keeley’ns across the nation tuned in virtually to hear Rusty talk about our 2023 results, how the first quarter of 2024 is going, our vision for the future, and how our culture can help drive us forward. It was an amazing session full of discussion and excitement for the future!

Friday, March 1

To end Culture Week, we hosted our annual Dodgeball Tournament benefitting Good Shepherd Children & Family Services! 37 teams and over 500 people came out for a night of food, drinks, dodgeball, and raising money for an amazing cause. This is one of our favorite events of the year and we are so proud to partner with Good Shepherd and spread their mission to connect children with families and keep families connected. Culture Week 2024 was an incredible success and we are so grateful to be able to provide our Keeley’ns with a culture that fosters growth, service, and accountability. We are so proud of what our Keeley’ns have built and can’t wait to see what this year has in store for each of our cultural pillars! Learn about all of our cultural pillars here!
